
Malapatan Tourism
Malapatan is strategically located between the Municipality of Alabel, the capital town of Sarangani Province, and the Municipality of Glan, considered the tourism capital of Sarangani with its famous white beautiful beaches in Barangay Gumasa. Going to Malapatan from the City of Gen. Santos to the north, one can pass by long stretches of mangrove areas and beautiful sceneries along its coastal roads. The mountainous portions to the left can also offer Off-Road Adventures, Motocross Trails, and Trekking/Hiking Adventures.
Malapatan Cultural Tourism Attractions
Malapatan is also endowed with rich Maguindanaon and Blaan culture. It hosts the School of Living Tradition for Mat Weaving (Upper Lasang Dream Weavers) in Sitio Upper Lasang, Barangay Sapu Masla. There is the traditional Mat Weaving center and the production of Blaan traditional costumes and other cultural products led by a recognized Blaan national artist. This center is being developed as a Heritage and Cultural Center for the majority native inhabitants, the Blaan Tribe
