The Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) is an annual assessment process that involves documentation reviews, onsite inspections, and interviews in 10 key governance areas namely, Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Peace and Order, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture, and Arts, and Youth Development. These areas ensure a holistic evaluation of an LGU’s governance, helping to identify well-rounded local units that excel in various aspects of public service.
