Mayor's Message

Through the collective effort of the Municipality of Malapatan and the respective Barangay Councils, a blueprint of barangay development was made to feasibly meet the Barangay Vision and Mission from 2015-2019 in accordance to distinct sectoral development in every barangay in Malapatan leading to a more productive municipality as a whole.

It has been an opportunity for the barangay officials to intervene their plans for their respective barangay in Malapatan in a five-year term plan.

In the term of our administration, we give priority to areas addressing poverty, managing environmental protection, improve infrastructures and maintaining unity of the tri-people community as well as peace and order. We have the intention to harmonize all sectors, but gave focus to these areas that will lead to the development of the 12 barangays in our municipality.

We now have a clearer course of action and more assuring solutions to the obstacles that may come along the way. In order to mitigate poverty, being an agricultural municipality the, the economic sector gives focus on agricultural and aqua-cultural programs, and projects to maximize the available resources in the municipality. In the protection of environment, cultural preservation and eco-system rehabilitation have come into being. And to maintain peace and unity, various projects and programs that will provide the people access to government services like far-to-market roads, outreach activities, and others are developed. In promoting good governance, there are also programs that will renew the operation of general public administration in a more effective and efficient manner. The overall program laid in the barangay development plan is responsive to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which is a shared mission of the national and local governments globally.

Every constituent of the municipality deserves to enjoy the quality of life so they are our inspiration in all of our actions. We may not realize the dream that we have for Malapatan overnight, but nobody can stop us from getting to where we are going if we work as one.
